The AUPP cannot suspend the rights of its Members without fulfilling a legal process. During any investigation the AUPP will need to determine if the misconduct that took place violates a policy or agreement that had been previously acknowledged by the member before the incident occurred. Any AUPP Members facing expulsion must be notified in advance of this pending action. Members have a right to review documents or other evidence that the AUPP has relied upon in proposing this action. AUPP Members have the right to respond to these claims in writing or during a hearing, and may enlist a representative to aid in their response.
